Root 66 Series - Landmine Classic Mountain Bike Race

The Landmine Classic is a "don't miss" race. This race features a one-loop course: 7.6 miles for first time racers, 12.5 miles for Cat 3 and Fat Bikes, and 25 miles for Cat 2, Cat 1, and Pro. We also offer a marathon option where you do two 25-miles laps.

Almost entirely on singletrack, this race showcases a great deal of what Wompatuck has to offer trail-wise as well as some of the historic features of the park (including bunkers, blasting walls, etc.) from when the park was used as a military compound. Over the 25 miles you will encounter almost every type of trail situation - rocks, roots, berms, pavement (minimal), fast and slow trails, etc. This course takes you through the best of New England mountain biking!

All of the proceeds from the race go right back to the park. Using proceeds from previous years' races, we were able to reclaim South Field, the site of the race, to make the area a more family friendly, open space to enjoy. We also have opened new trails, resurfaced bridges, and completed general park maintenance with proceeds.

to Jul 31

Boston Rebellion US Cup Pro Mountain Bike Race

There will be non stop racing action all weekend long. Please see the schedule page for a detailed list of times and races.

The Boston Rebellion ProXCT is a great way to experience Olympic format mountain bike racing (XCO) in advance of the Olympics. Some of the professional competitors are previous Olympians and many of the new professionals are future Olympic hopefuls. Even with professional races going on over the weekend, the amateur races will also provide some of the best spectating. Typically the Category 2 class has the largest field sizes and some tough competition.

Spectating can be done anywhere on course and some sections will provide some exciting action (see map below). If you choose to venture on course, please pay close attention to the race and yield to all racers at all times. Always try to walk against traffic so you can see approaching racers. When a racer approaches, please step completely off the trail. Please leave no trace of trash on course. If you pack it in, pack it out.

Most of the Short Track course can be viewed from the expo and beer garden. Numerous amateur short track races will take place mid day Saturday with the professional short track race Sunday afternoon. For the trail run and cross-country races, please see the map below for some of the great spectating areas.

Root 66 Series - Eastern Grind XC MTB & MTB Marathon

The course is located at the Catamount Family Center in Williston Vermont. Formerly at the Millstone Trails.   Course distance is 5.4 miles and features 80% single track. The single track is twisty, moderately rooty and rocky, but flows well. There are three moderate climbs (first halfof course and towards course end), and the rest of the course it littered with short, fast ramps and grunts in wooded single track.  There are two A-Lines  in the course that  will require expert skills. The race course begins at the bottom of a large open field and climbs gently in order to spread racers out before entering the wooded single track.

Join us for the 2016 Eastern Grind Mountain Bike Race @ Catamount Family Center in Williston VT.Support the Catamount Family Center while enjoying a top-notch mountain biking event!

The Grind is a cross-country race with categories for all abilities and ages (12 and up). It takes place in a truly unique setting: the approx. 5.5-mile rolling course loops. Nearly the entire course is wooded, so racers are shaded from the sun.

Root 66 Series - Bear Brook Classic

State 9 Racing, RideBiker Alliance and ROOT 66 are thrilled to bring a new venue to the mountain bike racing roster for 2016. This race will be the second stop for the Kenda Cup East circuit. Bear Brook State Park, in Allenstown NH, offers a wide variety of trails for us to design a seriously rad course. Fast, flowing, and technical are these trails. The course will be approximately 8 miles long. A CYCLOCROSS ENDURANCE RACE is also going to be part of the event. This is a new category of cx/gravel racing that includes fire roads, smooth single track, hills and distance longer than your typical cross race. Come see what this new race discipline is all about! Recommended tire pressure is 40-55 for tubes and 30-45 if tubeless.

You will not be disappointed in the fun and excitement this race will bring. There are over 30 miles of trails to enjoy in this beautiful state park. The park can also be linked with FOMBA, in Manchester, and other networks through snowmobile trails and endless double track. If you haven’t yet, the BB Classic will get you coming back to enjoy the rest of the trails. After race refreshments will be available by a local food truck, and tasty beer provider.
